Overview
The North East International Film Festival (NEIFF) is an annual, multi-venue film festival centred on Newcastle upon Tyne. It presents independent work by filmmakers from the North East, elsewhere in the UK and around the world, bringing regional filmmaking into an international programme.
Alongside screenings, the festival includes workshops, filmmaker discussions, networking and awards activity. Its submission programme supports established and emerging filmmakers and includes strands focused on regional work and broader representation across the screen industries.

North East International Film Festival is a multi-venue festival centred on Newcastle upon Tyne, with screenings and related activity taking place at cinema, cultural and hospitality venues across the city. Its main cinema partner is the Star & Shadow Cinema, an independent, volunteer-led community cinema. NEIFF also works with other cinema partners, ranging from independent venues to larger multi-screen cinemas, with participating locations determined by each year’s programme.

- Gainford Group venues: The Vermont Hotel, County Hotel, Aveika, Hudson, Above and Livello are due to host or support activity during festival week. Above is also confirmed for a special festival screening.
- The Biscuit Factory: the listed venue for the closing awards gala.
- ChaChaBuchi: the listed venue for an associated opening industry networking party.
