South West
Overview
First held in 2013, ArcTanGent Festival has grown into a distinctive independent event dedicated to post-rock, math rock and experimental metal. Known for its focused curation and close-knit atmosphere, the festival offers a four-day programme featuring more than 100 bands across multiple stages.
The event attracts an audience seeking an alternative to mainstream music festivals, with a line-up that blends established acts, emerging artists and experimental projects. Its intimate scale, friendly community feel and rural setting contribute to its reputation as a unique space within the UK’s alternative music scene.
Alongside the live performances, attendees can expect camping, diverse food options and the festival’s popular late-night silent disco.

Location
ArcTanGent Festival takes place at: Fernhill Farm, Compton Martin, Bristol, BS40 6LD, a working farm set in the Mendip Hills near Bristol. The rural setting provides open fields, natural terrain and a spacious site layout suitable for multiple stages, camping areas and festival infrastructure.
The site’s layout includes grass fields, sloping ground and track access routes, which can become challenging in wet weather. Visitors are encouraged to prepare for mixed terrain and changing ground conditions.
