Overview

Bloodstock Open Air is the UK's largest independent metal festival, hosting over 120 international metal acts across four stages.

Bloodstock is known for its strong focus on the metal community, offering a platform for emerging talent through initiatives like Metal 2 The Masses. With a motto of "BY THE FANS FOR THE FANS," the event has grown to attract 20,000 attendees, featuring a diverse line-up of established and up-and-coming metal bands.

Bloodstock emphasises a zero-tolerance policy for harassment. As members of the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), Bloodstock is committed to the 'Safer Spaces at Festivals' campaign, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all attendees.

Location

Bloodstock Festival takes place at: Catton Park, Walton-On-Trent, Derbyshire, DE12 8LN.

Catton Park is a historic private estate on the edge of the National Forest. The site features open grassland bordered by trees, forming a natural amphitheatre that slopes gently towards the main stage area.

The festival layout is compact and easy to navigate, with camping and parking areas located around the central arena. Ground surfaces are mostly grass and firm soil, though conditions can become muddy in wet weather — sturdy footwear is recommended.

Basic Price Range:  £34 - £250

Tickets for Bloodstock 2026 Festival are currently SOLD OUT. The festival is working with Tixel as their exclusive resale partner, check out Tixel Bloodstock Tickets.   • Child Weekend 4 - 11 years old. Children under 4 go free. All children must be accompanied by parent or guardian over the age of 18 at all times.

Important Ticket Information

Ticket Warning: Only purchase tickets from official sellers listed on the festival’s website. Most festivals do not allow ticket transfers between individuals, and resale is typically only permitted through official resale platforms (when available).

Accommodation

Bloodstock Festival  is a camping festival, please bring your own equipment.
