Overview
Supersonic is a long-running independent music and culture festival rooted in Birmingham. Its programme explores the experimental edges of electronic music, metal, folk, hip-hop and other sounds that are not always easily categorised.
Live performances form the heart of the festival, alongside talks, workshops, films and participatory activity where programmed. The Crossing is the principal venue, with the wider programme unfolding across music and cultural spaces in Digbeth.
Supersonic is built around discovery rather than familiar headline acts. Its independent, DIY approach and welcoming community make it particularly suited to curious listeners who are open to encountering something unexpected.
