Festival Information

North West

Overview

Moovin Festival is an adults-only (18+), independent, boutique music event. The festival showcases a diverse range of genres, including DnB, reggae, house, soul, and funk, featuring both emerging artists and established acts. Despite hosting big-name performers, Moovin intentionally maintains a limited capacity to foster an intimate atmosphere across its six stages. The festival offers more than just music, with yoga sessions, gong baths, and fire performances adding to its immersive feel. Moovin's commitment to its counter-cultural feel and personal vibe has made it a standout in the UK festival scene.

Alcohol Regulations:

Moovin Festival has strict alcohol regulations in place due to licensing restrictions. Attendees are not permitted to bring their own alcohol onto the festival site. This rule applies to both the main festival grounds and the camping area. However, the festival has implemented a system to accommodate campers:

  • Campers can pre-order drinks for the camping area, collected at the campsite entrance.
  • Drinks from on-site bars may be brought into the campsite.
  • Beer is typically priced around £5 a pint, with bars open until 2 am on Friday and Saturday and late on Sunday.

The festival organisers emphasize that these regulations are crucial for maintaining their license and ensuring the event's continuation. Security checks will be conducted at the main gate, and any unauthorized alcohol will be confiscated.

Basic Campsite Regulations:

  • No fires
  • No glass
  • No pets

Accessibility

Moovin Festival is committed to making the event accessible to all attendees, including those with additional needs. While specific accessibility details are limited, the festival organisers encourage registered blue badge holders and anyone requiring additional support to contact them directly at access@moovin-festival.com. They aim to accommodate individual needs and provide easy access to the site. However, due to limited space and the need for advance planning, it's crucial to submit accessibility requests at least 5 weeks before the festival. Early communication is essential to make necessary arrangements.
