Overview

Wychwood Festival is a family-friendly music festival held at Cheltenham Racecourse. The programme combines live music across multiple stages with comedy, workshops, arts activities, family entertainment, and a wide range of food and drink options.

Alongside established and emerging artists, the festival includes dedicated children's activities, crafts, theatre, and wellbeing experiences, creating a broad programme designed to appeal to a wide range of ages and interests.

The festival site combines open grass areas with hard-surfaced routes around Cheltenham Racecourse. Camping, live music, family activities, food traders, and other facilities are all located within a compact site designed to be easily navigated on foot.

Wychwood Festival is dedicated to creating a welcoming and accessible environment for everyone, continuously working to improve accessibility for deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent customers. The festival site at Cheltenham Racecourse features a mix of paved roads and grass, designed for easy navigation with mobility aids and buggies. Here's a summary of key access facilities:

  • Accessible Campsite: Located closest to the main arena (100m), reserved for accessible ticket holders.
  • Personal Assistant Tickets: Available free of charge for eligible attendees.
  • Mobiloo: Specialist bathroom facilities.
  • Viewing Platform: A staffed viewing platform is available at the main stage.
  • Sensory Calm Space: A quiet space open daily from 10am-8pm for children and young people needing respite, supported by volunteers from Active Impact and the Gloucestershire Parent Carer Forum.
  • Accessible Parking: Available with a valid blue badge.
  • Assistance Dogs: Welcome on site.
