Overview

Gottwood is an independent electronic music and arts festival for adults held at Carreglwyd Estate on Anglesey. Its stages are distributed through woodland, gardens and open areas surrounding the estate's lake, with a programme centred on underground electronic music and DJ sets.

Alongside its music stages, the festival includes visual installations and wellbeing activities. General camping is included with admission, with boutique tents and yurts available separately. The festival operates a strict minimum age of 18.

Location

Gottwood Festival takes place at Carreglwyd Estate, Carreglwyd, Llanfaethlu, Holyhead, Anglesey, LL65 4NY.

Carreglwyd Estate lies on Anglesey, an island off the northwest coast of Wales with a strong Welsh and Celtic heritage. The festival occupies woodland, lawns, gardens and clearings surrounding a lake, creating a natural setting in which its stages, visual art and landscape are closely connected.

Travel Info

Holyhead is the nearest railway station. The organiser normally arranges station shuttles and regional coach travel, with current routes and times published closer to the festival. Visitors driving to the site need to book a parking pass in advance. Check the official Festival Information page before travelling.

Basic Price Range: £100 - £300

Gottwood's main ticket is a weekend ticket with general camping included. A limited number of day tickets may also be released, with camping included for the relevant night. Check the official Resident Advisor event page for current ticket releases and availability.

Important Ticket Information

Only purchase tickets through Gottwood's official website, Resident Advisor or its authorised resale facility. Gottwood is strictly for visitors aged 18 and over and operates a Challenge 25 policy, so accepted photographic identification may be required. Parking is not included with admission and requires a separate advance pass. Read the festival's current ticket terms and conditions before booking.

Accommodation

General tent camping is included with Gottwood Festival festival tickets. The campsite is a short walk from the main festival areas and includes toilets, showers, drinking water, food vendors, first aid and welfare facilities.

Campsite Regulations:

  • Campervans and other live-in vehicles cannot be accommodated.

  • Pets are not permitted; assistance dogs require prior arrangement.

Accessibility

Gottwood Festival takes place across woodland and grass areas surrounding a lake. Boxford has relatively flat hard tracks, while the Lawn slopes towards the lake and some Lakeside routes have uneven woodland surfaces. Weather can substantially affect conditions.
