Overview

Vegan Camp Out is an international vegan camping festival that brings together thousands of attendees from across the UK and beyond. With visitors travelling from more than 40 countries, the festival has developed a global reputation for combining activism, community, and celebration within a shared vegan ethos.

Across the weekend, Vegan Camp Out offers a wide-ranging programme including talks, workshops, live music, yoga and meditation sessions, after-parties, and a large street food village showcasing vegan traders from across the UK. Camping is central to the experience, creating a temporary community focused on ethical living, learning, and connection in a natural setting.

Location

Vegan Camp Out Festival takes place at: Walesby Forest, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG22 9NG, a large woodland and outdoor activity site in Nottinghamshire.

Festival Venue

Walesby Forest is a well established outdoor adventure activity centre near Sherwood Forest, perfectly suited to host Vegan Camp Out with ample space for performance areas, food traders, workshops, and camping zones.

Travel Info

The nearest train station is Retford, around 1 hour 20 minutes by direct train from London, with a dedicated festival shuttle bus operating between the station and the festival. For further travel information please see the festival's FAQ page.

Tickets

Basic Price Range:  £75 - £150

Tickets can be purchased directly from the Vegan Camp Out Tickets website. Children aged 0-3 go free.

Options include:

  • Weekend Pass (16+) + Camping
  • Child Weekend Pass (4 – 15) + Camping
  • Child Weekend Pass (0 – 3) + Camping

Day tickets may become available closer to the time of the festival, this depends on capacity availability.

Upgrades and Extras:

  • Extra day pass - come from the Thursday
  • VIP add-on (16+)
  • Car Parking Pass (per vehicle)
  • Caravan/Campervan Pass – No electric (per vehicle)
  • Caravan/Campervan Pass – Electric Hook Up (per vehicle)
  • Walesby Forest Activity Pass - indoor climbing, archery, kayaking, etc

Important Ticket Information

Only purchase tickets from the official seller listed on the festival’s website. Most festivals do not allow ticket transfers between individuals, and resale is typically only permitted through official resale platforms (when available). Accommodation

Vegan Camp Out is a camping festival, please bring your own equipment.

Families

There is a family camping field, away from loud stages and after-parties. Only those with kids are allowed entrance to the family camping field. There are fun things to do including games, arts & crafts, face painting, and a bouncy castle.

Food

At Vegan Camp Out, with over 60 vendors, there is an amazing assortment of food available. The number of options are endless: pizza, kebabs, smoothies, juices, Indian, ice cream, cakes, Chinese, burgers, raw and gluten-free options too. You certainly won't be searching for that one vegan food van!

Campsite Options:

  • Glamping Options
  • There is a designated Quiet Camping field, you don't need a special ticket for this.
  • For campers and caravans there is a designated place to park. Passes can be bought when you book your ticket and you'll have an option if you require electric hook up.

Basic Campsite Regulations:

  • No fires.
  • No camping stoves or BBQs.
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, and are not allowed in music tents or at afterparties.

Accessibility

Vegan Camp Out is committed to making the festival accessible, including measures such as dedicated parking, accessible camping, accessible toilets, and selected events with viewing areas or BSL interpretation.
