Overview

Boomtown is an annual music festival held at the Matterley Estate in South Downs National Park, near Winchester, Hampshire. Established in 2009, it has grown into a unique event featuring 12 main stages, over 50 hidden venues, and thousands of performers. The festival is known for its immersive experience, with eight themed city districts that come to life, each offering a distinct vision of a perfect world. Boomtown celebrates a wide range of music genres, from reggae and hip-hop to electronic and punk. The event is committed to sustainability, aiming for Net Zero Scope 1 & 2 GHG emissions by 2026.

With its secret line-up revealed just before the show, Boomtown offers attendees a one-of-a-kind festival experience that combines music, theater, and interactive storytelling.

Tickets

Basic Price Range:  £120 - £325

Tickets to Boomtown Festival can be purchased from their Tickets Page.

Options include:

  • Citizenship Ticket
  • Green Transport Citizen Ticket (includes Wednesday entry.)
  • Citizenship Entry Ticket plus Wednesday Upgrade

Extras, i.e. parking, camping & glamping, campervan pass, Wednesday entry, can be added to your basket once you continue through the purchase of your basic entry tickets.

A "Citizenship Ticket" (18+) allows access to the festival.

"Green Transport Citizen Ticket", in an effort to reduce Boomtown carbon footprint, is a cheaper ticket which *includes* coach ticket, Wednesday entry, and Eco Bond deposit (you'll get £20 back on-site for bringing a full bag of mixed dry waste and sorting it at the Eco Bond hub).

Wednesday Upgrade allows access on the Wednesday so you can find the best camping spot!

Accommodation

Boomtown Festival  is a camping festival, please bring your own equipment.

There are a host of accommodation upgrades, from pre-pitched tents, bell-tents, teepees, huts, to gypsy caravans. These extras can be added when proceeding through your ticket purchase. For more info, visit the Boomtown Camping Page.

Campsite Options:

  • All Boomtown tickets give you access to the Campsite Villages.
  • In the Campsite Villages is where you'll find yoga, crafts, acoustic sessions and inspiring talks.

Campsite Upgrades:

  • Camp Orchid: nicer loos, showers, pamper parlour, etc.
  • Camp Skylark: all the good stuff along with ready pitched luxury accommodations.
  • Lockers
  • Phone charging
  • Tangerine Fields: Pre-pitched tents, you can include gear if you like.
  • Camplight: Also pre-pitched tents, and some gear if you want.
